MEDIA USE GUIDELINES
General Guidelines for Use of Photos
• Rights: Full rights to photos and or video taken by photographers and or videographers attending CHAMPS Trade Shows belong to CHAMPS Trade Shows. Photographs may be used for any and all uses in print or online media.
• Photo releases: Photos and or videos taken in public places, for purposes of news or general information, do not require photo releases. Photos used to advertise products or services of CHAMPS Trade Shows, the Las Vegas Convention Center, The Industrial Event Space, or any its exhibitors may not require releases when the focus of the photo is a location or event, not a person. Examples: a group of attendees at CHAMPS Trade Shows looking at a particular booth; a group of CHAMPS Staff working the front registration; the entire staff of a company at a booth working.
When an individual's face is featured in such a way as to be clearly recognizable as an individual, and appears to endorse CHAMPS Trade Shows events or exhibitor products, the best practice is to obtain a signed release using the CHAMPS Standard Attendee Release, to be stored with records of payment for the ad or publication. Example: An individual who is highlighted on the cover of a particular magazine (implies the featured individual is an attendee at CHAMPS Trade Shows).
CHAMPS Trade Shows, as sole owner of the images and or video being taken at the Convention Center and/or the Industrial Event Space during CHAMPS, also holds the sole authority to delete, retain, or deny permission to use any image, audio clip, or video clip from the CHAMPS Trade Shows event for any purpose. Permission is also per use and any previous permission is not indicative of future authorization.
